PHA Spring 2012 Formal Recruitment:
UMD PHA's Formal Recruitment occurs at the beginning of the spring semester and is a structured form of recruitment. Formal recruitment occurs in four different rounds:
Round One: House and Values Tours
Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th
Round Two: Philanthropy
Sunday, February 5th
Round Three: Skits
Friday, February 10th
Round Four: Preference
Sunday, February 12th

Bid Day:
Monday, February 13thBid Day is the last day of the recruitment period. This is the day that invitations to join sororities are extended. Your Rho Gamma will inform you of the time and place to meet and receive your invitation. We can't wait to meet our new members!
Sigma Kappa Casino Night:
This year, we significantly increased our fundraising for the Sigma Kappa Foundation and Alzheimer's research by hosting a Casino Night at the UMD Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center in October raising over $6,000! Friends, family, alumnae, Maryland faculty, and others joined together to support the Sigma Kappa Foundation and Alzheimer's research at the event which featured hors d'oeuvres, blackjack, poker, craps, roulette, a money wheel, bingo, silent auction, and more!
All proceeds of this event go to the Sigma Kappa Foundation and Alzheimer's Research.

Walk to End Alzheimer's:
The Sisters of Sigma Kappa participate in the annual Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's with our sisters from the George Washington University chapter and alumnae. Check back for more information about our involvement in the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's!
