Dear Potential New Members,
Being a part of Sigma Kappa does not end upon graduating. The continuous involvement of alumnae in our chapter has shown me what true commitment looks like. These dedicated alumnae support our chapter through recruitment advising, giving financially, always attending our events, and simply giving their time to help us in all that we do!
They are also amazing in their willingness to help in furthering our career pursuits. For many sisters, including myself, an alumnae sister has been the gateway into a dream internship or job. The continued value of Sisterhood by alumnae has shown me that being a sister goes deeper than just fun times together.
The first time I realized this was at a Greek Leadership Conference when I met a fellow Sigma Kappa. It did not matter that I had just met her and didn't know much about her other than that she had graduated from the Phi chapter in Rhode Island. However, because we shared the same values that we pledged ourselves to, we bonded immediately over secret passwords and handshakes. Personal growth, friendship, service, and loyalty are what make us sisters for life.
