Beta Zeta National Awards:
At the 2011 Sigma Kappa COTS, a National Conference, our chapter brought home 10 separate awards, exemplifying the hard work of sisters both past and present. The recognition of the 2010 & 2011 Executive Boards, Alumnae, Advisors, and Chairs is evidence of their hard work and importance of the values Sigma Kappa holds dear.

Founder's Award

This brand new award is a result of overall excellence as determined by numerous reports submitted by all of the officers. The award is given to the chapter that has 3 stars of excellence and has lived up the founder's vision of Sigma Kappa. It is given to the best OVERALL Sigma Kappa chapter in the country.

Frances Warren "Speed" Honorable Mention

This award is given to the chapter with the most outstanding Sigma Kappa Triangle reporting.

Academic Achievement Award

This award is given to the chapters who has a GPA of a 3.0 or above for both initiated and new members. The whole chapter received a high overall GPA.

Louise Helen Coburn Honorable Mention

This award is given to the collegiate and alumnae chapter that has worked together to obtain effective alumnae relations. The Beta Zeta chapter has been lucky to work closely with the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter.

Advisory Board Recognition Honorable Mention

This award is given for excellence in advising a chapter. A special thanks to our amazing advisors for all of their hard work!

Ruth Rysdon Miller Panhellenic Honorable Mention

This award is given to recognize the chapter for excellence in service with the Panhellenic community.

Sisterhood Recognition Award

This award goes to a chapter that demonstrates service with another chapter during the school year.

Wava Brown Chambers Honorable Mention

This award is given to the chapter with outstanding programming.

Three Stars Standard of Excellence

This award is only given to chapters whose level of performance in all areas of chapter life is exemplary.

Lillian Peterson Budd Award

The chapter with the best philanthropic programming for the year is given this award.

2011 Greek Week Champions
Paired with the brothers of Sigma Nu and Phi Kappa Psi, Team "Captain America" dominated, taking first place overall and in individual events including Skit, Backdrop, and Greek Olympics. Way to go!
